GLASS DISCLOSURE
All display cabinets from Showcase Designs containing glass utilize a high quality one quarter (1/4) inch thick, non-tempered plate glass material. All glass used has machine-polished edges to reduce the danger of personal injury while handling the glass.
YOUR SHOWCASE DOES NOT HAVE TEMPERED GLASS
Unless otherwise specifically stated on the invoice you receive with the delivery of your showcase, the glass used is NOT tempered glass. When tempered glass is broken it will generally break in smaller, less damaging pieces reducing the possibility of harm to people and other objects that strike or break the glass. The only exception to this is in our Counter Style display cases, where tempered glass is always used on the case top only.
ALL GLASS WILL BREAK
Regular, non-tempered glass will generally break in larger pieces with sharper edges which could cause personal injury to those who come in contact with the glass when broken.
